The Warrior is published by the Sedalia Democrat, a private firm in no way connected with the U.S. Air Force, under exclusive written contract with Whiteman Air Force Base. This is an authorized publication for members of the U.S. military services. 

Contents of The Warrior are not necessarily the official views of, or endorsed by, the U.S. Government, the Department of Defense or the Department of the Air Force.

The appearance of advertising does not constitute endorsement by the Department of Defense, the Department of the Air Force or the Sedalia Democrat. Editorial content is edited, prepared and provided by the Public Affairs office of 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base. All photographs are Air Force photographs unless otherwise indicated.

The deadline for article submissions to the Warrior is noon Friday, the week prior to publication. If a holiday falls on Friday, the deadline then becomes 4 p.m. Thursday. Articles will be published on a space-available basis. Submission does not guarantee publication.

Dept of the Air Force

The Department of the Air Force is headquartered in the Pentagon, Washington D.C. The service is organized in nine major commands throughout the world which provide combat aircraft, airlift, refueling, reconnaissance and other support to the Unified Combatant Commands. 

The Air Force also has more than three dozen field operating agencies and direct reporting units which directly support the mission by providing unique services. 

Together with Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard forces, the United States Air Force is the best in the world. 

The Acting Secretary of the Air Force is Lisa S. Disbrow, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force is Gen. David L. Goldfein, the Vice Chief of Staff is Gen. Stephen W. Wilson and the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force is CMSAF Kaleth O. Wright.
