    COLONEL BRUCE T. GUEST

    Colonel Bruce T. Guest is the Commander, 509th Maintenance Group, 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. As Commander, he leads over 1,450 personnel in support of the Air Force’s fleet of 20 B-2A Spirit aircraft. His group provides low observable aircraft and safe, secure, and reliable weapons enabling the 509th Bomb Wing to execute deterrence, assurance, and global power missions for the nation.

     

  • 509TH MISSION SUPPORT GROUP

    COLONEL ILLYA K. THOMAS

    Col. Illya K. Thomas is the commander of the 509th Mission Support Group, Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. He commands six squadrons (1,800 personnel) providing the Base Operations Support that enables strategic nuclear operations, lethal global strike, and agile combat support. He leads the execution of civil engineering, law enforcement, security, logistics, contracting, communications, fire protection, human resources, food services, Airman and family support, and infrastructure programs. This support provides the security and surety of strategic nuclear resources and of the nation's only B-2 bomber fleet valued at $44 billion. He oversees a $50M budget, along with a $340M construction program for the 509th and 131st Bomb Wings, the 442nd Fighter Wing, and eight tenant units.

  • COLONEL SANDRA R. NESTOR

    Colonel Sandra R. Nestor is Commander, 509th Medical Group, Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. She leads 280 personnel and is responsible for ensuring the execution of an annual operations and maintenance budget of $13M supporting wartime readiness at the Air Force’s only B-2 Bomb Wing. Col Nestor oversees $27M in civilian network healthcare, $1.2M in services contracts, $2M homeland defense assets, and a $54M, three facility medical campus providing 68K annual visits to 11.5K enrolled beneficiaries. She is responsible for the health and fitness for duty of 4.8K active duty members including 1.6K personnel in the Personnel Reliability and Arming and Use of Force programs in support of strategic nuclear deterrence and surety. Additionally, Col Nestor provides medical support to the Missouri Air National Guard's 131st Bomb Wing; Air Force Reserve Command's 442d Fighter Wing; Air Combat Command's 20th Attack Squadron; and the Missouri Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 135th Aviation Unit.
