Team spirit
ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Staff Sergeant Scott Kures walk around a wing to check for leaking drains as part of routine pre-flight maintenance on a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber. Sergeant Kures is part of a maintenance team supporting the remaining B-2 Spirits at Andersen AFB. Keeping the B-2 Spirit bomber at a mission-ready status requires lots of hard work and a huge team effort by all maintainers working on the multi-role stealth bomber. The B-2s here have remained suspended pending the results from a safety investigation board following the first-ever crash of a stealth bomber Feb. 23 here, at Andersen AFB. The continuous bomber presence demonstrates U.S. commitment to promote security and stability in the Pacific region. Sergeant Kures is with the 36th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and is deployed from the 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman, AFB, Mo. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Vanessa Valentine)
