Whiteman Air Force Base Airmen sew and donate masks across the country to slow the spread of COVID-19

U.S. Air Force Capt. Lauren Kram, a 393rd Bomb Squadron pilot, sews a face mask on May 13, 2020, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. Lauren and her husband, Capt. Ben Kram, a 393rd BS pilot, created and donated over 500 masks nationwide to military bases, hospitals, and nursing homes to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. Department of Defense policy states that all individuals on DoD property, installations, and facilities will wear cloth face coverings when they cannot maintain six feet of social distance.
