Whiteman AFB takes Lee Summitt family on Pilot for a Day tour
Eli Conley from Lee Summit, carries a fire-fighting rescue mannequin during a Pilot for a Day tour on July 19, 2019, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. Emil has medulloblastoma, which is the most common malignant brain tumor of childhood, and it accounts for about 20 percent of all childhood brain tumors. Medulloblastoma can be treated with surgery, radiation therapy, as well as chemotherapy. Whiteman AFB collaborates with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to coordinate these tours.
