Commemorative AF brings B-17G Flying Fortress to Whiteman AFB
Texas Raiders, a B-17G Flying Fortress with the Commemorative Air Force, taxis in front of attendees at the Wings Over Whiteman airshow on June 15, 2019, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. The B-17G was a later variant of the B-17 and had a heavier armament than earlier models with a total of 13 M2 .50 caliber machineguns compared to the five machineguns of the prototype.
