Kyrgyzstan native realizes her American dream in US Air Force
The father, mother and grandmother of Airman 1st Class Vera Schwenk, an avionics technician assigned to the 509th Maintenance Squadron, pose for a portrait with her as a baby during a family vacation to Issyk-Kul, a large salt-water lake just outside of her home town of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, known for its waterfalls and hiking trails.
