Hennessy Trophy evaluation
The John L. Hennessy Award evaluation team visits Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Feb. 18-22, 2018. The Hennessy Trophy Awards Program was first conceived in 1956. The trophies are presented annually to Air Force installations with the best foodservice programs. There are two separate regions, east and west, in the competition this year. Whiteman, in the east region, is facing six other Air Force installations for the trophy. In order to win, the installation must show excellence in foodservice management, food quality, force readiness support, resource conservation, safety, good employee and customer relations.
