Grand re-opening for base
Members of Team Whiteman gather to support the grand opening of the base thrift shop at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Nov. 13, 2017. The thrift shop has relocated to 837 Vandenburg Ave., next to the auto hobby shop and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The new facility offers patrons various household goods, to include décor, clothing, electronics, furniture, toys and books, and much more! The consignment store is primarily ran by its own board with representation from the Whiteman Spouses’ Club, and all proceeds made from sales are distributed by the Whiteman Spouses Club in the way of scholarships and donations to local organizations.
