Liquid Fuels

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Daniel Huffstetler, the 509th Civil Engineer Squadron water and fuels systems maintenance supervisor, adjusts a hydrant control valve at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Feb. 12, 2016. In order to reduce fueling time from two hours to 20 minutes, the B-2 Spirit has a uniquely-designed fueling system. Huffstetler feels that the liquid fuels shop plays a critical role in the mission at Whiteman because they enable speedy fueling before takeoff, allowing bombs to be put on target on time. Huffstetler and the rest of the Liquid Fuels Maintenance section take great pride in their fuel system and people. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Michaela R. Slanchik)
