Watching the crowd

Airmen from the 442d Fighter Wing join their counterparts from the Army and active duty Air Force out of Whiteman Air Force Base waited in the tunnel of Royals stadium October 14, 2014 and watched the crowds. In a few moments they would run onto the field to perform the flag detail that opened the third game of the American League Central Series. More than 100 members from Whiteman AFB, many Kansas City natives, volunteered to participate in the Royals’ most successful season in 30 years. (Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Emily F. Alley)
