Civil War re-enactors keep military history alive
An explosion at Fort Davidson State Historic Site, Mo., simulates the fort’s demise during the re-enactment of the Battle of Pilot Knob Sept. 27, 2014. During the battle 150 years ago, Confederate troops attempted to seize the fort. To spite them, Union troops snuck out and blew up all remaining supplies. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
