“Eyes on” the mission

An orb scan is used to evaluate a patient’s eye in the optometry clinic at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Sept. 4, 2013. The orb scan measures the curvature of the cornea of a patient’s eye. The rings on the screen help evaluate curvature changes and provide a topographical image of the corneal surface. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Nick Wilson/Released)
