'Beasts' walk the earth

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. - Two B-2 Bombers roll down the taxiway March 4 marking the end of Whiteman's first Nuclear Operational Readiness Exercise of the year. The NORE is in preparation of the combined Nuclear Surety Inspection and Nuclear Operational Readiness Inspection scheduled for May 29 through June 11. The NORE exercises Team Whiteman's ability to perform their tasked nuclear mission, which includes generating aircraft, preparing aircrews and controllers, and exercising the bomber strategic aircraft recovery team.
