Whiteman CDC dedicated to Susie Skelton

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. - Congressman Ike Skelton, left; Dale Buckingham, president of Whiteman’s Base Community Council; and three of Whiteman’s youngest, Matthew Johnson, 5; Nathan Johnson, 4; and Michael Johnson, 1, sons of 509th Civil Engineer Squadron Commander, Lt. Col. Craig Johnson; unveil a painting of Mrs. Susie Skelton Saturday during a Child Development Center dedication ceremony March 15. Whiteman’s CDC, completed in 2007, was officially named the Susie Skelton Child Development Center in honor of her life, service and leadership to many civic and family organizations, for her dedication to the men and women in uniform, and in particular, for the advancement of children.
