Bronze Star for MSG deputy commander

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- Lt. Col. Daniel Semsel, 509th Mission Support Group deputy commander (right) is awarded a Bronze Star medal by Col. Robert Wheeler, 509th Bomb Wing commander, for meritorious achievement May 6 at the 509th Bomb Wing headquarters. The award was given for leadership in accomplishing more than 1200 unmanned aerial system sorties against an opposing armed force at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan from May to Sept., 2008.
