Getting a face lift
WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. - Members from the 509th Maintenance and Munitions squadrons restore the protective coating on a KC-97 static display here Aug. 20. The restoration, which is required every five years, is scheduled to take a month. During this time Airman will sand, repaint and perform any required sheet metal repair to the KC-97.
