Airman gets ‘Patriotic’ reenlistment while deployed

SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Maj. Robert Hartmann, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, administers the oath of enlistment to Tech. Sgt. Donna Fuccio, 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Group, during her reenlistment ceremony at an Army Patriot missile launcher July 16 at a base in Southwest Asia. “I was learning the oath of enlistment without breaks,” said the 15-year veteran from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. “The meaning of the oath began to sink in that I was supporting and defending the Constitution, so I wanted to have my reenlistment ceremony somewhere that brought that meaning to true light. That is what the Patriot batteries do. They support and defend the base and me too.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Scott Moorman)
