Out with a bang

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- Julie Mayer, thrift shop volunteer, rips into the drywall of the shop's former home in Bldg. 1435, just south of the 509th Bomb Wing headquarters, Oct. 9. The building, condemned since 1993, is currently being demolished.
