WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. - Lt. Col Wayne Doherty, commander, Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Core Detachment 440, sits in the commander's seat of the Oscar-01 launch facility durign an ROTC tour here, Mar. 9, 2010. Col. Doherty is a Master Space and Missile Operator with 19 years of active military service, controlling operations for various Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles. Col.
