WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. - Senior Airman Steven Edwards, 509th Maintenance Squadron metals technology journeyman, attached a rudder actuator collar core into a machining mill to remove excess material from the core, Nov. 3. The rudder actuator collar will be used by maintenance members when working on the rudder assembly to safely allow them to prop the rudder up without injury.
