Armed Services Blood Program
WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. – A medical laboratory technician from the Fort Leonard Wood Blood Donor Center takes blood from a donor during a blood drive at the community activity center as part of the Armed Services Blood Program Dec. 21. The mission of the ASBP is provide quality blood services for servicemembers and their families in support of global medical readiness during peacetime, humanitarian, and contingency operations. All donated blood will be given to various military treatment facilities in Iraq and Afghanistan to support Central Command’s blood mission. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Nick Wilson)
