Process to the finals

Staff Sgt. Kennrik Nelson (center), 131st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, melts a B-2 Spirit training windshield to clear a freshly sanded spot at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Aug. 15, 2012. Before the heating, the spot was sanded to remove scratches and scruffs starting a process to make the windshied clear again. The new process was thought out by an integrated team of Airmen here from the 509th and 131st Maintenance Group and has been selected as a finalist for the 2012 Air Force Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award.
