One Pedal at a Time
Ryan Creel, a medically retired Army Staff Sgt., and Master Sgt. Andrew Chocha, show off unique sun burns after wearing a bicycle helmet during a 93-miler ride from Kansas City to Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Sept. 4. Creel is an official rider for the Long Road Home Project and Chocha is an active duty Air Force member who volunteered to ride for the day during his temporarily deployment from Barksdale Air Force Base. The Long Road Home Project consists of five prior service members riding 4,200 miles across the country in hopes of bringing awareness to the fact that hundreds of thousands of service people often face difficulty returning home.
