Now that warmer weather is here, a vacation or weekend getaway might frequent more Whiteman members' minds.

The personnel at Whiteman Information Tickets and Travel want to spread the word about the entertainment opportunities they have available.

"ITT is a service travel center specializing in vacation travel for military members and Department of Defense civilians," said Laura Brunner, 509th Force Support Squadron ITT representative. "We can usually find something for everyone and aim to get the customer the best price for leisure attractions."

Ms. Brunner encourages patrons to take advantage of package deals and discount prices rather than endless research.

"We are usually less expensive than many travel websites, and you don't have to hassle or spend time hunting on site after site," she said. "We are your one-stop shop and resource center. Additionally, we are unique, because we are tax free."

According to Mr. John Hardy, 509th FSS Outdoor Recreation manager, some patrons don't realize what savings are available to them until they come in and check it out.

"We can help customize travels and get the most affordable rate depending on plans," he said. "There are many attractions to see and so many things to do."

According to Mr. Hardy, recreation adventures don't have to be explored in the local area, but can be found all over Missouri and throughout the U.S.

"If someone is going to be TDY or on vacation and wants tickets to a tourist attraction out of state, we might have something at a reduced rate," Ms. Brunner said. "You just have to ask. The 'Show-me-state' has a plethora of things to do and see. There's more to Missouri than just Branson."

According to Mr. Hardy, newcomers to Missouri might really enjoy hunting, fishing, nature walks and canoeing and rafting, and boating.

"We can help you with all those needs," he said. "We offer many specials and are here to assist with your vacation ideas."
