The Whiteman Arts and Crafts Center offers a variety of year-round services for members of Team Whiteman.

Following Air Force Global Strike Command's vision for Airmen morale and welfare, the Arts and Crafts Center provides instructions, materials, equipment and assistance to anyone wishing to use their services.

Some of the services offered are custom framing laser etching and metal engraving. The Arts and Crafts Center also plans to offer embroidery services in the near future.

"In the past we framed a large turtle shell for a customer and a collection of 100 matchbooks for another," said Karen Gorden, Arts and Crafts Center director. "If it will fit in a frame, we'll do it. Valuable art and treasured artifacts are handled with the utmost care and framed using archival quality materials. Our professional framers are always eager to help with design and layout and our workmanship is of the highest quality."

The center recently received a specialty printing system that allows the staff to print color pictures and graphics on ceramic mugs, mouse pads, cutting boards and a variety of other surfaces.

"In addition to the services we provide, we are also proud of our large number of consignors who offer a variety of handmade items such as pottery, purses, flag boxes and coin holders," Ms. Gorden said.

Monthly classes are also offered to educate anyone wishing learn how to make their own Arts and Crafts and use some of the equipment available at the center.
