Explore the Night Published June 6, 2011 By Community Activities Center 509th Force Support Squadron Whiteman Air Force Base -- The Community Activities Center and the Department of Natural Resources is sponsoring an Explore the Night event from 8:30-10 p.m. June 4 at the Knob Noster State Park. Amateur astronomers will be on hand to decode the night sky. View the 3-day-old crescent moon followed by Saturn, star, satellite and constellation tours. Bring a lawn chair and insect repellent is recommended. Meet at the far west camp ground. The event will be cancelled if weather is overcast or rainy. For more information call (660) 687-5617.
