Welcome back from the holidays ... and thanks for taking care of yourselves and each other during the break! I hope you enjoyed some well-deserved time off with family and friends.

Now it's time to refocus our efforts on the important work we do and our strong tradition of excellence.

I know that for many, the New Year brings with it new goals, both professional and personal, to help guide our achievements.

General Ronald Keys, the Commander of Air Combat Command, provided us his vector: help our nation "win the long war and prepare for the next!" We'll stay on the flight path we're on to get the job done.

Vision - continue to build an organization that we, and others, see in this way.

509ers are ready Airmen who fly, fix and support without equal ... and get a little better at it every day. We are the warfighter's choice for global strike.

Mission - who we are, our end product and for whom we provide the effect.

Skilled, proud Airmen providing full spectrum, expeditionary, B-2 global strike and combat support capabilities to geographic commanders and the U. S. Strategic Command commander, while we provide Team Whiteman mission support.

WE KICK DOWN DOORS AND KILL TARGETS!

Vector - our energy is focused on doing or supporting these things.
 Develop Airmen, build the team
Be ready to generate and deploy
Win the fight when called

Core values - the foundation for all of our actions.
Integrity first
Service before self
Excellence in all that we do.

Together, we'll get a little stronger every day as we strengthen our team.

In this way, we'll continue to build our mission capabilities and our Air Force family. Thanks in advance for your strength and focus this year!
