Berry 509th Bomb Wing Legal Office WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- It's that time of the year again - time to file income taxes. To help members of Team Whiteman efficiently and effectively get their taxes filed, the base tax office will officially open Feb. 3, 2014. The first week will be dedicated to processing 1040 EZ returns only. Walk-ins for 1040 EZ filers will be available Feb. 3 to 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and every Friday beginning at 1 p.m. After Feb. 7, the tax office will begin processing tax returns for individuals who meet the criteria listed below by appointment only. Criteria: - Under $150K Gross Income - Itemizing (active duty only, bring in last year's return) - Rental properties (E-4 and below, only one rental property, bring in last year's return) - Stocks (No more than 10 transactions) - No home business Where: Community Center (Behind BX and across from the Ozark Inn) Phone: 660-687-6014 Hours: Monday to Friday 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. What is needed for tax returns: - Copy of all tax paperwork (W-2) - Social Security cards for all individuals on tax return - Account number and routing number for tax return - Copy of last year tax return (OK not to have them, but will help out with the process) If you have any questions or need to schedule an appointment, contact the tax office at 660-687-6014.
