509th MDSS receives new commander

Lt. Col. Matthew Escher, 509th Medical Support Squadron commander, took command from Lt. Col. Jon Welch during a change-of-command ceremony Aug 13. 

Previous assignment: 42d Medical Operations Squadron primary care flight commander, Maxwell AFB, Ala. 

Time in service: 14 years
