Medical Group welcomes new commander

Col. Kathleen M. Dunn-Cane assumed command of the 509th Medical Group from Col. Gloria Twilley during a change of command ceremony here June 30.

Brig. Gen. Garret Harencak, 509th Bomb Wing commander, presided over the ceremony.

Colonel Dunn-Cane was previously stationed at the Air Force Inspection Agency, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.

As the new medical group commander, Colonel Dunn-Cane said her goals for the new position are to provide continued vigilance in medical management of the Personnel Reliability Program and provide first class patient care and customer service.

"(My command philosophy is) take care of the people and they will take care of the mission," she said.

Colonel Twilley will continue her service as the director of force management at Headquarters Air Force, Bolling Air Force Base, Md.
