Effective March 19, 2020, Whiteman Air Force Base will begin restricting access to the installation for visitors not affiliated with the Department of Defense (i.e. visitors without a DoD ID card).  Local authorities and emergency responders will still be able to access the installation as needed.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., March 19, no new base visitor passes will be issued; current passes will be honored until they expire.

This measure is a prudent action to protect the health and safety of personnel on the installation.  Providing for the safety and health of our force preserves our mission capabilities and enables us to continue to provide global strategic operations and support for the United States.  Whiteman AFB leaders and medical professionals continue to actively monitor and assess mission requirements and essential health protection measures to ensure mission success.

509th Bomb Wing Public Affairs will continue to provide up-to-date information about appropriate measures to prevent spread of the virus on www.whiteman.af.mil, www.facebook.com/WhitemanAirForceBase, www.facebook.com/whiteman509MDG. Airmen and families with specific questions are encouraged to direct those to their immediate supervisors, commanders, and chain of command; questions can also be directed to the Wing Commander and Wing Command Chief at https://www.whiteman.af.mil/Connect/Leadership-Link/.
