New WAFB app: ready for download Published April 21, 2017 509th Bomb Wing Public Affairs WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- Have you ever wondered what's really happening on base? Ever felt like you couldn't locate a phone number? Tired of having to search through numerous webpages to find information?Well you're in luck. The 509th Bomb Wing (BW) is proud to release the base's very first mobile app.The Whiteman Air Force base app is your one-stop location for all things Whiteman. On the app, you can read the latest base news, find pictures of promotion ceremonies, locate needed phone numbers and even get information about various events on base. It contains medical contact information, movie times for the base theater, and numerous resiliency and outreach items for you and your whole family. There are also links to the base's social media sites and even information for individuals PCS'ing to or from Whiteman.And it is 100% free!At this time, the app is only available to iOS users and can be found on the app store. For android users, the app will be available in the very near future, so please stay tuned.To download, head to the app store and in the search bar type Whiteman Air Force Base. The 509th patch will show as the app icon. Tap to download. Again, search Whiteman Air Force Base and tap to download.
