April 2015 Courts-Martial, Article 15s, and Discharges Published June 25, 2015 By Whiteman Air Force Base 509th Bomb Wing WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- Below is a summary of the more serious disciplinary actions that have occurred on base in April of this year. Non-Judicial Punishment A Staff Sergeant from the 509th Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for violations of Article 92, dereliction of duty, for not following a technical order at work. For these offenses the member received a reduction to Senior Airman and a reprimand. A Staff Sergeant from the 509th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for violations of Article 92, dereliction of duty, for sexual harassment. For these offenses the member received a reduction to Senior Airman, forfeiture of $750 pay per month for two months, 21 days extra duty, and a reprimand. A Senior Airman from the 509th Munitions Squadron received an Article 15 for a violation of Article 92, dereliction of duty, for not following a technical order at work. For this offense the member received a reduction to Airman First Class (suspended), and a reprimand. A Senior Airman from the 709th Munitions Squadron received an Article 15 for violations of Article 134, drunk and disorderly conduct with a weapon. For these offenses the member received a reduction to Airman First Class (suspended), forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months, forfeiture of $273 pay per month for two months (suspended), and a reprimand. A Senior Airman from the 709th Munitions Squadron received an Article 15 for violations of Article 111, reckless driving, Article 128, assault consummated by a battery, and Article 134, drunk and disorderly conduct with a weapon. For these offenses the member received a reduction to Airman, reduction to Airman Basic (suspended), forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months (suspended), and a reprimand. An Airman First Class from the 509th Medical Operations Squadron received an Article 15 for violations of Article 92, dereliction of duty, and Article 134, drunk and disorderly conduct. For these offenses the member received a reduction to Airman Basic, forfeiture of $600 pay per month for two months (suspended), and a reprimand. An Airman First Class from the Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 for violation of Article 112a, use of Schedule III controlled substance. For this offense the member received a reduction to Airman Basic, forfeiture of $400 pay per month for two months (suspended), and a reprimand. An Airman First Class from the Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 for violations of Article 92, dereliction of duty for having an underage person in a dorm room, and Article 107, making false official statements. For these offenses the member received a reduction to Airman, reduction to Airman Basic (suspended), forfeiture of $350 pay per month for two months, (suspended), restriction to base for 30 days, and a reprimand. An Airman First Class from the 509th Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 for violation of Article 113, misbehavior of sentinel, for sleeping on post. For this offense the member received a reduction to Airman (suspended), forfeiture of $404 pay, seven days extra duty, and a reprimand. Discharges A Senior Airman received an involuntary administrative discharge for minor disciplinary infractions with a general service characterization. Three Airmen First Class received involuntary administrative discharges for a mental disorder, minor disciplinary infractions, and fraudulent enlistment. The characterizations of the discharges ranged from honorable to general. Two Airmen received involuntary administrative discharges for having minor disciplinary infractions with general service characterizations. An Airman Basic received involuntary administrative discharges for drug abuse with a general service characterization.
