MVP Award
WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. – Airman 1st Class Kayla Brown, 509th Maintenance Group, receives the Whiteman Top 3 Association Most Valuable Player Award Nov. 1 from Senior Master Sgt. Charles Davis, 509th Bomb Wing Top 3 president. Airman Brown was instrumental in the recent maintenance group information management consolidation. She spearheaded the electronic information management element by managing 64 file plans, ensuring accurate and complete records. She also volunteered numerous times at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg and donated more than 40 hours of her off duty time coaching and mentoring youth soccer athletes throughout the Whiteman youth program. In addition, she earned an estimated 15 credit hours towards her Community College of the Air Force degree in communications and information. The Top 3 MVP award is given each month to any staff sergeant or below throughout the wing. This is the Top 3's way to formally recognize an enlisted individual who epitomizes mission accomplishment, teamwork and esprit de corps for the men and women of the 509th Bomb Wing.
