The adventure island

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. --  Once there was a very rich couple with a daughter and her name was Emily. Emily loved the ocean so her parents bought a boat to sail the sea.

One day they hired a sailor to sail the boat. While they were packing, the sailor cleaned the boat and carried the luggage that was packed onto the ship. Once all the luggage was on, they headed out to sea. That night the sailor fell asleep and put his feet in the steering wheel. Emily went to get her suitcase and the boat turned so fast she fell off head first! While she was falling she hit her head on the side of the boat, which made her faint. She hit the water, then started floating to an island.

The next day she woke up and started wondering where she was. So she got up and started to walk. While walking, she realized she had to survive. Her stomach started rumbling which told her to go find food. As she walked, she saw some snakes, spiders, elephants, monkeys and tigers. Then finally she found some bananas. It was very hard to get up the tree trunk. Once the bananas were in reach, Emily picked the whole bunch and let go of the tree. When she hit the ground her back hurt so much she had to sit under the banana tree and eat for half an hour. Once her back was better she built a fire. It took awhile to get it going but she got it. After that she gathered tree branches a made a bed. By then it was getting dark. So she ate a couple of bananas, blew the fire out and went to sleep.

After eating bananas, making fires and being chased around by animals all week she was worn out, but she heard a helicopter. So she gathered all the coconuts she could find and made them into big letters saying 'Help!' Then the pilots saw it! They flew down and landed with a thump! Emily ran to them and told them who she was and what happened. They told her to get in the helicopter and they would take her home. Two hours later they landed and Emily saw her parents running to her. So she jumped out of the helicopter and ran to them and hugged them. As she hugged them she told herself she would be home and safe from now on!
