Under normal circumstances, most states and territories begin mailing ballots to citizens 30-45 days before an election. If you have not received your ballot two weeks before the election, contact your local election official (contact information
available on most state election sites).

If you encounter problems contacting your local election official, contact us and our staff will assist you in determining the status of your ballot.

Always complete and return your absentee ballot regardless of when you receive it, even if you have already submitted a Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot. Your local election official will ensure that only one of the ballots is counted.

Did you know:

The Federal Voting Web site, www.fvap.gov can provide state by state information regarding your registration and important deadlines. If you are wondering whether or not your registration has been received, many states offer a voter registration verification web-site. It's a quick way to check the status of your registration. Also, each state offers specific important dates for uniformed Service/Family members that list specific dates that must be met to ensure your vote is counted. If you have any questions, contact your Unit Voting Assistance Councilor.
