WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- Seventy Team Whiteman members graduated from the First Sergeant Symposium at the Professional Development Center June 19.

The week long class conducted by the First Sergeant Academy consisted of technical and master sergeants from all career fields who will have additional duties as a first sergeant.

The class received briefings from the Office of Special Investigations, the Legal Office, the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Family Advocacy and several other Air Force agencies.

During the course of the class the students learned a myriad of skills that involve helping Airmen.

"The class gives students a bigger strategic picture to lead and develop Airmen as well as heightening there leadership ability," said Senior Master Sgt. Michael Bellerose, U.S. Air Force First Sergeant Academy, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.
