Rounding third and heading for home...it's service members and their families who will be guests at the Aug. 8 Kansas City Royals game.

TriWest Healthcare Alliance is providing 3,000 tickets to military members at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. and Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. for the game which pits the Royals against American-league foe Oakland Athletics.

"For the sweat and sacrifice of our service members and their families, we hope this expression of our gratitude helps them get out, and know that they are appreciated by those they serve and protect," said TriWest President and CEO David J. McIntyre, Jr.

First pitch is at 6:10 p.m. at Kaufman Stadium, 1 Royal Way in Kansas City, Mo.

TriWest administers the military's healthcare plan, TRICARE, to 2.7 million beneficiaries in Missouri and 20 other western states.
