Military Appreciation Day

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo- Military Appreciation Day was held at Faurot Field (Memorial Stadium) in Columbia, Mo. Sept. 12. ROTC Cadets presented the colors before kickoff at the Mizzou home opener against Bowling Green. More than 500 military members and their families were in attendance. Military Appreciation Day

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo - Lt. Gen. Frank Klotz, commander, Global Strike Command and Brig. Gen. Robert Wheeler, commander, 509th Bomb Wing, stand at attention before the singing of our National Anthem Saturday Sept. 12 at Faurot Field (Memorial Stadium). The Mizzou home opener against Bowling Green was special in that it was Military Appreciation Day honoring all military both past and present.

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo.- -- The University of Missouri at Columbia hosted a 2009 Military Appreciation Day with the generosity and support of Mr. Joe Scallorns and his wife Fran, Saturday Sept. 12. More than 500 military members and their familes were in attendance as well as Lt. Gen. Frank Klotz, Global Strike Command,commander and Brig. Gen. Robert Wheeler, 509th Bomb Wing, commander and his family.
