The 509th CS schedule, support during the holidays

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. --  The 509th Communications Squadron will be teleworking or minimally manned from Dec. 21, 2020 until Jan. 4, 2021.

The 509th CS is requesting members of Team Whiteman to resolve any current communications issues before the holiday schedule goes into effect.

The sections will be minimally manned with walk in hours from 8-11 a.m. Dec. 21-23, and teleworking from Dec, 28-30 and Jan. 4 with support for emergencies. Additionally, the 509th CS will be closed with on-call services available for emergencies on Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

The 509th CS recommends Airmen who plan on teleworking test their ability to access the virtual private network on their work stations as well as ensure phones, radios and other communication equipment is working properly so communication issues can be addressed before Dec. 21.

The 509th CS is also recommending all communications security officers check their COMSEC accounts and keys as well as call the COMSEC office prior to Dec. 21 at (660) 687-5011. Additionally, public address equipment and support will be unavailable from Dec. 24 to Jan. 4.
