WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. - Tech. Sgt. Jesse Perkins, 509th Maintenance Squadron, uses a crane July 13 to remove an old tactical navigation antenna to prepare for installation of a newer, and larger, model. The $1.5 million project is scheduled to be completed July 21. The new antenna will provide increased up-time allowing launch and recovery of aircraft day or night in any kind of weather, said 1st Lt. Donald Roley, 509th Operations Support Squadron.
