FOD Walk
WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. ? Members of Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. performs a foreign object debris walk on the flightline collecting more than 200 pounds before starting the day, July 15. Since FOD is mostly made up of small rocks and pebbles, it is hard to remove the debris with sweeper trucks, so Airman have to physically remove the FOD themselves by lining up side-by-side and walking across the flightline.
