Guidelines for working in the heat
WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- Charlynne Garcia, 509th Maintenance Group secretary, works out on an elliptical machine at the Whiteman Fitness Center June 6. Instead of running outside during extremely hot weather conditions, it is recommended for individuals to run or do cardio indoors to avoid heat-related injuries, according to Tech. Sgt. Tara Lee, 509th Medical Operations Squadron NCO in charge of force health management. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Nick Wilson) (Released)
