Chief Master Sgt. Jeffery D. Sipos serves as Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. As the wing’s Senior Enlisted Leader, he is responsible to the wing commander on matters affecting readiness, training, health, welfare, morale, quality of life, and professional development of the command’s 3,900 enlisted Airmen. He ensures the wing’s Airmen are always ready to provide strategic deterrence, global strike capabilities, and combat support to U.S. Strategic Command and other geographic combatant commands. He also has a responsibility to multiple partner units, including an Air Force Reserve wing, a Missouri Air National Guard wing, a reconnaissance squadron, a Missouri Army National Guard battalion, and 6,000 family members, civilians, and retirees.
Chief Master Sgt. Sipos entered the Air Force in April 1996. He graduated from the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Apprentice Course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He has held a variety of leadership positions at the squadron and group levels for the civil engineering and combat communications career fields. He served as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 18th Civil Engineer Group, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. Chief Sipos has deployed in support of operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as the 72nd Air Base Wing Command Chief, Tinker Air Force base, Oklahoma.
