Whiteman AFB takes Lee Summitt family on Pilot for a Day tour

Tech. Sgt. Christopher Lineberry, quality assurance, 509th Operations Support Squadron, turns on an oxygen tester to test an oxygen mask on Emil “Batman” Conley, from Lee Summit, Missouri, during a Pilot for a Day tour on July 19, 2019, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. Emil received a flight suit along with a patch with his call sign “Batman” the day prior at a pool party hosted by the 393rd Bomb Squadron. Emil has medulloblastoma, which is the most common malignant brain tumor for children, and accounts for about 20 percent of all childhood brain tumors. Whiteman AFB collaborates with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to coordinate these tours. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Thomas Barley)
