Bomber crews maintain readiness during BAAD missions
Airmen assigned to the 509th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron conduct pre-flight checks with a B-2 Spirit prior to take off at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Aug. 11, 2016. More than 200 Airmen and three B-2s deployed from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., in support of U.S. Strategic Command's Bomber Assurance and Deterrence missions. The BAAD deployments are part of a long-standing history of maintaining a consistent bomber presence in the Indo-Asia-Pacific in order to maintain regional stability, and provide assurance to our allies and partners in the region.
