Whiteman Spirit Award Published Dec. 20, 2007 By 509th Bomb Wing Public Affairs Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo.-- -- Staff Sergeant Letrece Green, 509th Medical Support Squadron, received the Whiteman Spirit Award from Col. John Robinson, 509th Bomb Wing vice commander, Dec. 18. Col. Gloria Twilley, 509th Medical Group Commander, nominated Sergeant Green for the award. Sergeant Green retooled the 509th Medical Group's Medical Evaluation Board Program, Colonel Twilley said. The MEB is the first step in the Air Force disability evaluation process to determine who is not worldwide qualified. Sergeant Green educated more than 20 in-house providers on the MEB program. She also implemented new processes to identify and track forty profiled personnel and timely MEB processing. These new initiatives facilitated a comprehensive and consistent, record so that the member's case may be fairly adjudicated at Head Quarters Air Force Personnel Center, Col. Twilley said. "The MEB program received an excellent rating during the recent accreditation inspection due to the efforts of Sergeant Green," Colonel Twilley said.
