Whiteman AFB Civic Leader Partners

What is the Whiteman Area Leadership Council (WALC)?
The Whiteman Area Leadership Council continuously works strategically to ensure the long-term viability of Whiteman Air Force Base as part of our National Security. The WALC envisions regional communities, citizens, governments, organizations, state and federal offices and agencies working together with Whiteman Air Force Base as strategic partners to make the region an ever better place to live, work, learn and play, while enhancing WAFB mission readiness, quality of life, sustainment, and growth.

What is the Whiteman Base Community Council (BCC)?
The Whiteman Base Community Council (BCC) consists of 18 communities, which surround Whiteman Air Force Base. Each squadron is assigned to a community, with a community representative as the liaison to the squadron. This allows Airmen the opportunity to serve their community and for each community to provide engagement for the Airmen and their families to enjoy events year round. The BCC also works closely with base leadership to support special events such as the Wings Over Whiteman Air Show.

What are the Military Affairs Committees (MAC)?
The Military Affairs Committees are monthly meetings of key civic organizations, attended by the Base Commander or PA representative, representing a broad cross-section of the community, such as the Chamber of Commerce, who support area military personnel including active duty, reserve guard, ROTC and veterans in the Warrensburg and Sedalia areas.
