    Whiteman AFB host Innovation Pitch Day

    As part of Whiteman’s innovation initiative, leadership hosted Innovation Pitch Day on Jan. 28, 2020. The focus for the day was for Airmen to present ideas on how the base can improve its sponsorship program.

    A pilot’s proposal that’s out of this world

    It is not every day someone receives a proposal from outer space, but on Aug. 31, 2019, Capt. Stuart Shippee, a B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber pilot from the 393rd Bomb Squadron, used his piloting knowledge to take his marriage proposal to the next atmospheric level by using a weather balloon.The idea took form when Shippee saw others use weather

    Airmen assigned to the 131st and the 509th Maintenance Squadrons, hosted a showcase to explain their squadron’s innovation, a shortened B-2 Spirit phase inspection process on Dec. 11, 2019 at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri.
